Venice Beach

Drove my mom out to Venice Beach today. I just wanted her to see the ocean. I wanted to see it myself. Haven't been since I've moved here. We didn't stay very long, as I discovered she becomes nervous around strangers and crowds. We did remain long enough to smell the salty air & take some pictures. It was a beautiful day.

Visit with Mom

Had my mom out for a visit this weekend. We spent most of our time at the apartment. She's at the point now with her Alzheimer's where going places is difficult for her. She tires easily. I put the Classic Movie Channel on for her, and began to develop an appreciation for those old movies - like African Queen - that I would always pass over in favor of something modern. Mom can't actually "watch" a movie anymore. Not sure where her mind goes, but she is unable to follow a plot or remember the names of actors I'm sure she has been familiar with since her childhood. I kept trying though, asking her simple questions about the story & asking her to name various movie stars. It was okay. We enjoyed our time together no matter how many questions were left unanswered.

We went to Denny's for dinner and then Mom took a nap. Later we ran out to the 7-Eleven for ice cream, hot fudge, brownies, and a can of whipped cream. Yummy. Hot fudge sundaes at midnight? Hell yeah. She's my Mom & I get to spoil her, dammit!

Acoustic Set at On the Rox

Saw these guys play a short acoustic set of Bowie, T-Rex and the Stones at On the Rox (above the Roxy) tonight. Ricky Warwick (red shirt, used to be in the Almighty), Rolan Bolan (Marc Bolan's son), Brett Hellings, and Billy Morrison (with the white guitar). Had a nice chat with Billy & then attempted to stick around for the GNR cover band that was up next. I made it through one song. The singer was dead on, but it was just too weird for me.

Another Photo by Phil Lewis

There are so many good ones from this first shoot, I had trouble deciding which one to post here. We're shooting again tomorrow night at the dungeon & I can't wait. In the meantime, I'm going to post more photos from this shoot on the "model" page of my website.

Suspensions at Club DV8

Here's Flaca hanging around with Master Liam at Club DV8. Liam and Boone did three suspensions that night. They were all incredible to watch. I cannot imagine the intensity of the rush one must get from hanging by hooks...

Phil Lewis, Rock Star, Photographer Extraordinaire

WOW!!! Met Phil Lewis & his lovely wife yesterday evening. We took some photos in their living room. Phil was behind the camera, his wife assisted, and I sat around basically looking aloof & trying to breathe in my new corset. This image is one of my favorites. Phil's got quite an eye, and all three of us are already excitedly planning our next shoot. So much fun!!!

I'm a Switch!

Apparently I've paid my dues as a submissive. I'm a Switch now, and have officially been given permission to hurt people. Yay! Now if someone can just remind me to remove my bracelets before giving a hard spanking...

Happy New Year!!!

Here we are....the entire twisted family. YAY! New Year's Eve was a blast. We all went to a party in a huge mansion up in the hills. Our 10:30pm performance began with a black casket (with a girl inside) carried into the room and finished up with three nearly naked girls tied to a wooden ceiling beam & worked on by Sal & Erzsebet. Sal counted down the last 10 seconds of 2005 with a leather paddle on my ass. Thanks, Sal! Happy New Year!!

2005 is Nearly Over

Loki decided to have some fun with gift wrapping. Yes, he did this to himself. Nearly fell asleep that way, too. We've tried placing the bow on him several times since, but he runs away as if he's appalled. Cats are so silly.

The holiday was excellent. Spent Christmas Eve with my two favorite Satanists. We watched Jackass the movie. Classic. Also caught part of A Christmas Story and all of Christmas Vacation. Had an awesome home-cooked meal. Stayed over & in the morning opened gifts, covering the living room carpet in a sea of wrapping paper & bows. Had a fantastic breakfast, too. Some friends stopped by. One of them just got a part as an alien on that show Invasion. He said filming was great except that he nearly had a panic attack in the latex suit they made him wear.

Came home late afternoon & waited for my roomate to get home for Round 2 of gift opening. While I waited, I sent posted some comments on Myspace. Was astounded when I received a reply from Phil Lewis of L.A. Guns, inviting me & my roomate to stop by his apartment to celebrate with him, his wife, and a few friends. Turns out we didn't go (it was getting too late), but I had a nice chat with Phil on the phone & we'll get together at some point. I'm blown away. That type of kindness has to come from living life on the road & being welcomed into the homes of strangers. I love when rock stars turn out to be genuinely nice people. What a sweetheart!

Got my hair cut today. Didn't get the cut I wanted, exactly, but it's cute. I can work with it. It's about 4" shorter, layered at the bottom, and cut on an angle across the side of my face. I wanted choppy layers all over, but decided not to push the issue once it became clear that wasn't the cut she was giving me. It was SuperCuts (I'm POOR!) and maybe she didn't know how to cut the layers all over. I dunno. Anyway, I came home & stuck some Manic Panic Ultra Violet on it. Going to let it soak in overnight. I'll report back in the morning with the end result. New year, new hair. Yay!
